Motor fleets – an overview of sentencing guidelines

All organisations have a duty of care to their employees, particularly those employed in the driving profession given the inherent risks associated with driving on a regular basis.

Recent sentencing guidelines issued for Health and Safety and Corporate Manslaughter offences seek to re-establish the importance of this duty of care by increasing the penalties for employers who fail to enforce this.
