Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of factors were impacting the market conditions facing the insurance industry. In simple terms, the demand for insurance is at a high and the supply of insurance is struggling to meet that demand. The market has no chance of making any money in 2020.

Organisations are complex and COVID-19 has added to that complexity. This is a first, a situation not experienced by the world before. Therefore, it hadn’t been planned for and by the time it did happen it was too late.
