There are a number of different types of vape available on the UK market. So as a vape shop owner you will need to decide which types of vape to stock and sell in your shop.
Types of vape which you may look to stock include:
- Cigalikes
- Vape Pods
- Vape Pens
- Vape Mods
Each type of vape will have pros and cons depending on what the consumer is looking for. Vape Mods for example are thought to be much more complex to set up when compared to something like a pod system which is much simpler. Vape Mods also tend to be more expensive than some of the other different types of vape device.
It will be important to do your research and understand your market when deciding which types to stock in your vape shop.
Other differences in vapes
There are also different types of systems available across the types of vapes – closed systems and open systems.
Closed systems typically use a ready filled cartridge which when finished you discard of and replace. Whereas open systems are reusable, and e-liquids can be refilled in the tank.
And we also explored the differences between rechargeable and disposable vapes in a recent blog.
Deciding which vapes to stock in your vape shop
With such a wide range of different types of vape available, it will be important to stock you vape shop accordingly.
Having a good understanding of your customer base will be important. What those new to vaping are looking for may be different to those who have vaped for a longer period.
Customers may also have varying budgets, especially at this time when the cost of living is increasing.
You will also need to ensure that all of the product that you stock in your shop adheres to the regulation and legislation which applies to vaping and e-cigarettes in the UK. As well as making sure that you operate your shop with responsibility and do not sell vaping devices etc to those under the age of 18.
Pay close attention to your vape shop insurance
Ensure that you have the right level of vape insurance in place, whatever products you stock in your vape shop.
